Interchange 55 – A planning application has been submitted to deliver a new industrial and logistics park on land to the north of London Road, forming part of the CS7 allocation in Babergh District Council’s Local Plan.

Interchange 55 will provide a new industrial and logistics park offering opportunities for office, manufacturing, storage and distribution occupiers. Occupiers are likely to include trade counters, warehousing and industrial users on the site adjacent to the Ipswich park and ride.

Fronting the A14, and adjacent to Ipswich Park & Ride, Interchange 55 is ideally located to access Ipswich, the east coast ports and the international markets. Ipswich is at the centre of East Anglia and is a busy commercial, cultural and education centre. Suffolk One is close to the site.
Consultation
Building Partnerships will be submitting a planning application for the development of Interchange 55 by summer 2021. The application will be part outline, to establish the principle of the employment area with access to the site and proposed drainage strategy submitted in full.
